About Heather

Hey there! I’m Heather aka Heather Cupcakes. Most people just call me Cupcake(s) but I like to think that I still have a name too. This is where I tell you a bit about myself since you’re probably wondering why you stopped by to read about someone like me. Well, I started a cupcake business back in 2008 and three years later I find myself even deeper within this world of frosted craziness. The Cupcake Dreamery was Business #1 and there’s a whole story behind that which eventually you’ll hear of. Let’s fast forward though to my current business, Dollop! Dollop is all about cupcakes, for now. Hence, cupcakes = life. I’m working on the whole expansion thing.

This is the story of my life as a single girl in the crazy cupcake world. It’s tough to be an entrepreneur and even tougher to be a young female owner of a retail shop. Balancing any semblance of a social life escapes me most times. I’ve been labeled as dedicated, hard-working, ambitious, crazy, scattered, outgoing, dynamic and so on. I love good food, awesome music, craft beer, modern styles, wit, irony and creativity. I drink too much, work too much and think too much. I’m black or white, all or nothing and nonstop on the go. I don’t know the definition of “relax” and I try to counteract my love of desserts with the punishment of crossfit. I’m ADD, OCD and probably 10 other diagnosed disorders in the DSM-IV. All I really want you to know though is that I’m one of the most honest, humble chicks ever. But don’t take my word for it, I’d rather you to be the judge as you get to know me.
